BALINTAWAK WALES

Balintawak Wales is a Filipino Martial Arts institute that specializes in the style of Balintawak Eskrima. 

The style predominantly uses the Single Stick but the concepts can also be applied to Double Sticks, Knife, Stick & Knife and Empty Hands.

ESKRIMA

Eskrima is the national martial art of the Philippines.

The art emphasises on weapons-based training but as well as empty-hand techniques.

SUNTUKAN & SIKARAN

Panantukan is the empty-hand aspect of Eskrima. It's the culmination of Suntukan and Sikaran techniques and strategies.

It is often referred to as Dirty Boxing due to its inclusion of Kicks, Elbow Strikes, Knee Strikes, Limb Destructions, Trapping, Clinching,  Locking, Takedowns, Sweeps, Body Manipulation with Silat blended in.

DUMOG

​Dumog is the grappling aspect in the art of Eskrima where the aim is to strategically make your opponent submit using ground submission techniques.
